Elise has never seen a Mew up close and the League had a Mew in their custody. When she and her elder cousin get to the training grounds near the League’s headquarters, the ambassador is able to see the floating psychic type Pokemon greet her and Remiel. “This one is one of your ancestors, isn’t it?” She gives a smile to the shard of Calyrex that accompanies her as he looks up to the Mew curiously with wide blue eyes.[break][break]

“Cro-rown…” A sleepy response came from the bulbous crowned prince. Charles rubs his eyes as if he was intending to take a nap after the training session though the royal ambassador laughs a little. “I never fought with a Mew before actually. Is it your first time too, cousin?” Elise asks the elder prince since he probably had more experience with fighting these kinds of Pokemon.[break][break]

With war looming onto Hoenn, the Galarian princess wanted to prepare for when it’ll eventually stop at Rustboro City’s doorstep. She’s worried about the safety of her family there, especially since her father had insisted on staying in his manor instead of evacuating to the Galarian Embassy.

They meet the legendary MEW in a field of flowers outside of EVERGRANDE CITY. As a member of the AQUA INITIATIVE, Remiel Calcifet had arranged this appointment. Somewhere within the boundaries of this territory, its handler sat and watched them.[break][break]

"Mew is an ancestor of all Pokémon," The archaeologist adds, arms crossed as he watches the fairy interact with CALYREX. "The progenitor species, perhaps, to human life as well. Though that is still hotly debated."[break][break]

Casually, he reaches down to unclip a reinforced Luxury Ball from his belt before tossing it into the air and catching it. This draws the Mew's attention with a curious tilt of its head. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Mew. Though you must know why we have come."[break][break]

They weren't, after all, the first to arrange such a meeting.

Project Sapphire considers the Mew in the custody of the League to be one of study, whether it’ll be in or out of combat. Remiel states that Mew is the ancestor to all Pokemon, an undeniable fact as the pink fairy interacts with the shard of Calyrex. The hare king, in turn, looks at the floating Mew in curiosity, child-like as a shard of the original League’s Calyrex.[break][break]

“Oh, yes that is right. Mew is the ancestor to all Pokemon, so…I would assume Calyrex came from Mew.” She gives a little laugh at that, wondering how Calyrex would’ve been born in this world. “I’m reminded of an old story from Sinnoh that humans have a common ancestor with Pokemon.”[break][break]

But their meeting with Mew did come with a purpose. It would be to facilitate training with her shard and how Charles followed her orders when she’s bonded with the Calyrex.[break][break]

“Mew, can I ask you to train with Charles? I’d want to do this for Project SAPPHIRE because I want to see how much my bond has progressed.”[break][break]

A small giggle can be heard from the pink cat-like fairy as it nods. Elise ushers Charles to start too as the Bubbles from Mew float up to the air.[break][break]

“I’d want you to use Energy Ball.” She’d command the Calyrex shard as the Calyrex conjures up spheres of light green energy to launch at the Bubbles. When some of the spheres miss the targets, the other Energy Balls hit the Bubbles and pop them.

"They do look a bit similar, don't they?" Remiel smiles, looking between the CALYREX and MEW. And, when the latter giggles in response to Elise's request, he, too, can't help but feel a slightly elated boost. "Sounds like a resounding 'yes' to me." He says, watching as the two initiate combat. "I'll hang back for now."[break][break]

True to his word, the crown prince takes his Luxury Ball and steps off to the sidelines as the two legendaries fill the arena with blue and green. The black TYRANTRUM lying in wait, however, growls with anticipation as it waits for its turn. BLACKJAW had a distaste for FAIRY Pokémon more than most dragons in his care.[break][break]
